December seemed to fly by so fast this year that I haven't even been able to keep up with all the chocolate in my advent calendar. If you're like me, you might not have gotten around to much holiday decorating either, in which case, here's an idea for how vintage can save your Christmas!
All you need is a few simple frames (I used plain white ones from Ikea), some vintage wrapping paper cut to size, and voila. It's a wrap!
Have fun decking your halls! Merry Christmas!
Immaculate Drea
P.S. Vintage napkins (or any other vintage ephemera with a holiday theme) will do just as well.

The Vintage Afterlife: Tier-y Eyed
Obama's presidential win and subsequent speech moved me (and probably half the world) to tears last night. On a much smaller scale of global significance but nevertheless very dear to my heart and home, my recent Mauerpark fleamarket find has also brought tiers to my eyes.
I scored this lovely little cakestand (which is a mere 25 cm tall) for a single euro (gasp). And I can't wait to back to Mauerpark next Sunday and treasure hunt for more! But I never have afternoon tea parties (if anything, I invite friends over for German-style coffee and cake), so here are some fun, non-trad uses I've come up with:

This completely slipped my mind! The other week, Immaculate Meg and I attended Dawanda's Make It! Shop It! Blog It! event, featuring inspirational talks from Holly (decor8) and Nicole (Luzia Pimpinella). I even made it in the cut for the wrap-up video (for better or worse!). Check me out showing off my diy screenprint and plugging Immaculate Heart:
